A development opportunity has arisen within the Business Support Administration Service. You will play a pivotal role within the Business Support Administration service ensuring the day-to-day supervision of administration staff within Locality Health and Care Services and provide support to wider operational teams.


This is a development opportunity until 31 July 2023.

The post will line manage a team of Business Support Administration staff supporting the implementation of a Single Point of Contact for referrals as well as provide support for other operational / clinical teams within the Intermediate Care and Discharge without Delay Teams.

You will maintain a high standard of professional practice, and demonstrate a committed and flexible approach across the work environment to other duties within the key result areas. Work is guided by standard operating procedures, protocols or systems of work. You will make judgements, plan activities for yoursellf and the admin team and contribute to service development and support and supervise the admin team.

You should possess an HNC in Business Administration or equivalent experience. You will have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages. Experience of working in an NHS environment with an understanding/experience of NHS networks is desirable. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team. The ability to work unsupervised whilst using your own initiative is essential as is being able to work to challenging timescales by organising and prioritising your workload and having the flexibility to adapt to change and last minute demands.

The post is 37.5 hours per week working 5 days over 7 (including Saturday / Sunday rota to support 7 day service).
