Our client, an international inspection, testing and consultancy business are recruiting for a Health and Safety Advisor. This individual will be responsible for implementing group objectives and improving the ISO certified Health, Safety and Environmental management system.

The main responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining the Company’s ISO certified Health, Safety & Environmental management system.
  • Coordinating operational risk assessments for all site operations.
  • Conducting regular H,S&E inspections, and ensuring corrective actions are addressed.
  • Recording and managing incident reports, and coordinating incident investigations as required.
  • Keeping up to date with, and ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation and good industry practice as part of their continuous professional development.
  • Attending Company Health and Safety Committee meetings & compiling minutes where required.
  • To provide practicable and professional H&S advice and assistance to staff at all levels.
  • To undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required by the Health and Safety Department.
  • There will be an expectation for regular travel to other company or client sites as required.

The ideal candidate will hold a NEBOSH Certificate in Occupation H&S, have ISO certification experience and have strong independent planning and time management skills. This individual will have strong attention to detail, be proactive in their approach and have excellent communication skills and have competence using MS Office applications and a driving license.
