Responsibilities

  • Identify training and development needs through job analysis, appraisal schemes, SSSC recommendations and best practice.

  • Design training and development programmes which promote Care Standards and the needs of the organisation/individual

  • Produce relevant training plans and cost projections

  • Provide innovative training solutions

  • Co-ordinate learning and development activities

  • Ensure induction programmes are relevant to the client groups

  • Develop e learning packages and associated materials

  • Devise individual learning plans

  • Support managers and employees with planning and implementing workplace development

  • Develop and produce training materials for in-house courses

  • Deliver training both face to face and online

  • Monitor and review the effectiveness of training sessions

  • Ensure that statutory training requirements are met

  • Evaluate training and development programmes

  • Amend and revise programmes as appropriate

  • Keep abreast of new developments in training, including modern technologies and methodologies in workplace learning

  • Record and update training, learning, development records and materials

  • Undertake relevant CPD

  • Produce an annual training plan for the business and associated business

  • Ideally you will have previous experience in training and development. Additionally, you will have the following:

  • Strong background in training and development

  • First class written and verbal communication skills

  • The ability to engage and motivate others

  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills

  • Health and Social Care/Adult Social Care/Children (desirable)

  • The ability to lead and generate innovative ideas

  • Strong organisational and planning skills

  • Effective time management

  • Drive and initiative to take the business forward

  • Good time-keeping skills

  • Commitment to improving your own knowledge and skills

  • Knowledge of dementia, learning disabilities and adult health is social care settings

  • Driver with car as training will be required across a range of locations

  • Qualifications

    Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent (essential)

    Level 3 Health & Social Care (desirable)
